yea cause its a PC's fault that consoles have tech thats over 4 years old. Its not a PC's fault that Crysis(2007) still has better graphics than Killzone 2(2009)
No, apparently games with beauty and actual color palettes means that its made for kids.
"Halo is too bright and colorful its like a crayon box for kids! It should be dark and brown and gray like Killzone 2 then its for adults!"
I love it.
256 players can blind a person into thinking the game is amazing i guess. More doesnt always mean better, and gameplay wise MAG isnt doing anything special except increasing player count. Not that its a bad game, but i dont really think it raises the bar for shooters since not all shooters strive to be mega battlefield war games.
I think IGN is trying to be fair. Based on what ive read, they were less concerned about a "feel" like the first one had (which i may add is near impossible since the first game is the wow factor) and more concerned with the features and gameplay that 2K added. You cant score a game for everyone to read just because you dont think it has the same feel or not, because not everyone will feel the same way.
Since reviews are an opinion anyway, its a reviewers job to look a...
I completed it yesterday, and Mass Effect 2 deserves a 9.6, no question. But there is no reason to say that Uncharted 2 or other games are not worthy of their great scores too.
Mommy and daddy may have bought you an HDTV, but people who struggle with gas/car insurance payments/bills/food/priorities have trouble forking over around 500 cash for a increase in resolution when they have a perfectly good working SDTV that does a decent job at displaying great experiences.
Some of you people need to get in touch with reality.
Oh yea, the PC version is usually better. Kinda like how the PC exclusive Crysis was a better FPS both graphically and gameplay wise than a game that came out 2 years later, called Killzone 2. =)
Mass Effect 2 is a system seller, btw. Its a big improvement over the original, and its one of the best games this gen.
Nice, seems like MS is picking up the pace with some new exclusives. 2009 to me wasnt as dry as some people tried to make it out to be, since i still bought more than several great games. But 2010 and beyond seems to be filling in the exclusives gap that they lingered in for awhile.
Spiderman 2 was actually fantastic, but sadly it was the last one.
that Bungie actually care about giving their fans a genuinely good game. Just hang around Bungie.net and read their weekly updates and watch how they stay connected with their fans. IW just wanted money.
Why do you think that all of Bungie's multiplayer games have an openly public beta when they could easily not ven bother? Any self respecting dev would know to do that, especially with a game as big as Halo. But Infinity Ward decided they didnt need a public beta, now look at th...
You do know that the PS Eyetoy was a piece of sh!t right? It was a simple and half ass design that barely worked the way it should have half the time.
i just dont see a hack n slash being better than Mass Effect 2. Just doesnt work out in my mind. I can play hack n slashes for 2 minutes without getting bored of the whole concept. I'll have an entire galaxy to explore in Mass Effect 2, with a ship full of companions that i will spend hours learning about and talking to. Then there will be great cover system shooting to keep the action bit up. God of War, Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, your just X,X,X,Y(triangle?),A,Xing it the whole time.
Arseholes do not always cause it. Arseholes did not make my water pipes freeze up yesterday morning and break, thereby rendering me without running water. Sometimes, sh!t just happens.
because that happens every single match and all. Sucks that the system froze, but coming from a guy like me who plays pretty often, this isnt a common occurrence. every system ive ever had freezes ever once in while, and ive had most big systems released in the past 18 years. Grow up a bit.
If you knew anything about a good story, you would know that halo is the best "space marine" story around, and is very original. Just try to name any film or game that has a story even remotely close to how Halo's universe.
Peter Jackson didnt want to make it a film for no reason.
Not only did Halo make controls on a console work very well, but Halo 2 revolutionized online gaming. Halo 2 created the lobby system that many games use now like COD, and it proved the strength of an online community.
Halo also brought regenerating health to the FPS and created the system where you can only carry two weapons at a time, which forces you to choose and think a bit more.
Goldeneye was great but its controls were very hard to work with on the N64 control...
Halo Reach will be great but 2010 doesnt need it, it has Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Alan Wake, not to mention dozens of great multiplatform games too like Bad Company 2, Dead Rising 2, Dead Space 2 and Bioshock 2.. It will be a good year and i will be very broke from all the games i will buy. The 360 has a good line up for 2010 as does PS3.
i dont care at all whether you disagree or not, the point is that what i typed before is facts. Deal with it.
i dont care if Sony won in sales. It didnt win for its games. It had a hell of a lot of games, but the quality didnt not match the Xbox.
-PS2 did not have a great exclusive FPS.
-PS2 only had the JRPG's and barely any Western RPG's
-PS2 only had a few Star Wars games, Battlefront and Bounty Hunter. Xbox had Battlefront 1 and 2, Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, Jedi Knight 2 and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Republic Commando
-PS2 also didnt have the Elder S...
A game doesnt break 9.0, so according to N4G logic, its not "AAA". Do any of you know what "AAA" really means?
What exactly is "AAA" material? What criteria must a game meet to be considered "AAA"?? Please someone tell me, the past few weeks havent treated me well and i need a good laugh.
